CASANOVA RELEASES “COMING HOME” FT. CHRIS BROWN (PROD. BY COOL & DRE)

[caption id="attachment_76869" align="alignnone" width="567"] Casanova "Coming Home" Official Cover[/caption] Funneling two lifetimes worth of street knowledge into his intense and precise rhymes, Casanova is one of the most promising stars in the Five Boroughs. Following the debut of the song as Ebro's "Beats 1 Banger" today at 3pmET, Casanova shares "Coming Home," his new single. Featuring a butter-smooth chorus from Chris Brown and a warm, guitar-driven instrumental from Cool & Dre, sampling '90s R&B classic "Faded Pictures" by Case & Joe, "Coming Home" finds Casanova expressing his passion and desire, as he speeds through red lights to reunite with the object of his affections: "She hate when I work late/I should’ve been home in the first place." "Coming Home" follows the Roc Nation rapper's recent release "So Brooklyn," a fierce, Fabolous-featuring hometown anthem. Says Casanova, "It's intended for your girl, putting her on a pedestal. You coming home and its relationship goals. You leaving your boys to race home to your girl. You're coming home, you're having fun, y'all f*cking a lot and you just love being with your girl." Since breaking out in 2016 with the local hit "Don't Run," Flatbush native Casanova has been one of NYC's most consistently raw entertainers. Released on New Year's Day 2018, his single "Set Trippin'" established him as a radio and boombox mainstay, earned over 20 million views on YouTube, and headlined his debut Commissary EP. Earlier this year, Casanova dropped Free At Last, a collaborative EP with 30 Roc, a Bronx-born who has worked with the likes of Cardi B, Travis Scott, and more. The EP boasted "2AM," an afropop-influenced single with a Lagos-shot music video, featuring appearances from Tory Lanez and Davido, which earned more than 11 million plays on Spotify alone. Stay tuned for much more from Casanova in the coming months, as he continues his artistic evolution and commercial climb. Listen to "Coming Home" ft. Chris Brown.

Elliott's long-time manager, Mona Scott-Young, along with nightlife entrepreneur Unik Ernest curated the star-studded event which hosted an impressive list of guests: Queen Latifah, Cardi B, Lizzo, Lil' Kim, Oscar winner Regina King, tennis star Novak Djokovic, Victoria's Secret model Adriana Lima, Ashlyn Harris and Ali Krieger (world champion US Women's soccer team), Ice-T and Coco, Blac Chyna, Lil' Mama, Dave East, Victor Cruz, Naturi Naughton, Winnie Harlow and Myx Fusions CEO Peter Reaske were among the elite who came out to celebrate with Elliott. Celebrity DJ Mary Mac 5 Star kept the energy high as guests partied into the wee hours. "We wanted to celebrate Missy, and honor her success and contributions to the culture, so where better to do that than a place inspired by her genius and creativity," says Scott-Young. "Words can't express how proud I am of Missy. She is an icon and truly deserves to be celebrated." The event was held at "The Museum of Missy Elliott," an interactive pop-up playground that allowed guests to engage in the most memorable and iconic moments from Elliott's music videos. The concept boasted a live hologram experience where guests could record a gif of themselves performing to Elliott's hit classic "The Rain," while virtually wearing her signature inflated trash bag. The immersive activation was powered by VNTANA. Special thanks to Marilyn Van Alstyne of EMVE Management Group and event supporters Pepsi, MTV VMA's, Myx Fusions, Bartenura, Cîroc, Courvoisier, Quay, Picsart and Monami Entertainment. Elliott's latest project, Iconology, is available now on all streaming platforms. Photos by Shareif Ziyadat and Michelle Lawton. Cardi B Talks Immigration, Police Brutality and More with Bernie Sanders

Cardi B had a sitdown with presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders to discuss where they both stand on issues facing America today.

In an 11-minute video, the two sat at the TEN nail bar in Detroit (a fitting setting for Cardi who loves getting her nails done). Though the idea of Cardi and Senator Sanders having a talk may seem like a joke, Senator Sanders insisted that it wasn't. Addressing the audience watching the clip, he stated that the two would have a real discussion about "some of the most important issues that impact you.” Cardi echoed the sentiment. “I want to tell my millions of followers, we’re here to educate you guys. Let’s just get more educated, please, let’s put our focus on this term’s elections because I don’t think people understand how serious it is,” the rapper said. The duo dived into some heavy topics, discussing reinstating and expanding the DACA program, immigration, student debt, police brutality, and more. Cardi often talks about her own political stance on social media and even recently asked her followers to pose questions for a Democratic candidate. Sanders was eventually the one she spoke with, though there's no word on if she will speak to other Democratic candidates in the 2020 race. At the end of the intriguing discussion, Senator Sanders added one more important fact. “A lot of people moan and groan, right? They don’t like Donald Trump, they don’t like the low wages. They don’t like spending 50 percent of their income on housing. They don’t like student debt. They don’t like the fact that they can’t go to college," he said. "But all of that moaning and groaning and complaining doesn’t mean anything unless we change the system. Young people have got to get involved in the political process.” Watch the exchange below. https://youtu.be/p1ubTsrZFBU

Drake, Taylor Swift Top Billboard Charts in 2018

0
radiofacts.com Billboard released its year-end charts, with significant good news for both Drake and Taylor Swift. Drake found himself topping the Top Artists ranking for the year, in significant part due to his chart-topping album Scorpion with a number of hit singles (including 'God's Plan', the No. 1 Hot 100 song of the year). Drake is the first rap act to be the year's top artist since 2005, and he is the third rapper to hold the position following 50 Cent (2003, 2005) and Nelly (2002). He is also the first male Canadian performer to top the list (the first Canadian performer to take the top spot was Alanis Morissette in 1996). The year's top female artist was Taylor Swift, ranking 4th on the Top Artists list and joined by the year's top new artist Cardi B. (5th) and Camila Cabello (10th). Swift topped the Billboard 200 Albums recap with reputation, as she previously did in 2015 (with 1989) and 2009 (with Fearless).
