Rhymefest Robbed at Gunpoint, Blasts Cops’ Response

Chicago has been in the news way too much lately for the wrong reasons as violence continues to plague the city. Rapper/Songwriter/Activist Rhymefest, who is proudly from the city of wind, took to his twitter over the weekend to lash out at the Chicago police for the way they treated him after he came into the police station to report that he had been robbed. An unknown man jumped into Rhymefest’s parked vehicle near the 4300 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue just after 7:30 a.m., pointed a gun at him and demanded his wallet, according to a Chicago police report.

The Oscar and Grammy winner actually recorded a video inside the police department to express his disdain for the way the situation was handled. The police department did issue an apology to Rhymefest via twitter after the incident. Check out the video below.

You wonder we don’t report crimes? The police treated me disgustingly pic.twitter.com/fY9VQrqDpz
