WHAT: Award-winning singer-songwriter Rachel Platten was presented with a Diamond Award from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for her iconic hit “Fight Song,” during a celebration at Sony Music Publishing’s Los Angeles creative hub in Hollywood. The event celebrated Platten alongside her “Fight Song” collaborators, fellow SMP songwriter Dave Bassett and producer Jon Levine.
Only 37 songs by 25 solo female artists have achieved the Diamond award, which marks over 10M units sold in the US – placing Rachel Platten in rare company alongside Beyoncé, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga and more.
