Missing Atlanta Woman Found Dead at MARTA Station

Missing Woman Found Dead

A missing 35-year-old woman, Chanel Crosby, was discovered deceased in the parking lot of the West End MARTA station in Atlanta. Her family had reported her missing on July 14th.

Family’s Search Ends in Tragedy

Chanel Crosby’s family, who had been hopeful for her safe return, received devastating news from the Atlanta Police. She was found inside a car in the parking lot. The discovery was made around 5:30 PM on Friday.

Last Contact and Concerns

Don Wilson, Chanel’s father, had last been in contact with her until around 11:00 PM on the night she went missing. She was last seen leaving for Macon, Georgia, with her boyfriend, Jamal Harvey. Harvey returned without her, raising concerns as she left behind her three young children, aged seven months, nine years, and three years.

Ongoing Investigation

MARTA Police confirmed that while the body was found on their property, the Atlanta Police Department (APD) has jurisdiction over the case. The APD has classified it as a death investigation, with the cause of death yet to be released.

Family’s Grief Deepens

This incident adds to the Crosby family’s sorrow, as they are still seeking justice for Chanel Crosby’s son, Jamarion. The 13-year-old was shot and killed in September 2022, in the woods behind a Lithonia subdivision. The Atlanta Police are still searching for his killer.
