Gary With Da Tea said Russia has some of the strictest drug laws in the world. The video tribute was supposed to bring attention to Griner’s detainment.
The tactic worked but not the way they wanted it, said Gary. He called the award terrible and said the cinematography and photography were awful. The group’s choreographed dance did not go over well with the audience.
The radio host said Griner wished they would not have done the video but probably liked it, said Gary. He said Griner might not want the extra attention the video tribute brings into her life. Rock -T said Griner could use all the publicity she could get to help bring her home.
The morning show discussed how long it would be before Griner returned to the United States. The host said the outcome looks scary and could be a long time because of the war. Gary said it is best to stay in prayer about Griner, and hopefully, she can come home by Christmas.
