We are DONE with the iPhone and while sales may still be through the roof, we are no longer using the phone at All Radio News and in our opinion, the thrill is gone. Here’s 5 Reason’s why…(click “NEXT” above or below to see next reason)
1. Updates Screw up the phone
Consumers are FORCED to have the latest iPhones or the updates will completely render your phone useless. Is this a ploy to FORCE consumers to buy the latest iPhone even if they are under contract and not ready to update? Our guess… YES
2. The wait at the Verizon store is pure punishment
If you have an account with Verizon and you have ever had to go into a store for help, you may as well bring a tent and a bed. The wait is absolutely excruciating and can last anywhere from 45 minutes to up to 2 hours.
3. There will never be a replacement for Steve Jobs
The brand has lost its very cool edge. Jobs brought such a great image to Apple and now that he is no longer with us, it’s just a regular company.
4. Consumers are tired of having to update all the accessories, including expensive radios etc every couple of years
This is the biggest distraction. Apple updates the iPhone by changing the plugs and connections which can be extremely costly to consumers. You have to not only pay for the new phone but now you have to replace stereo systems and more. What’s worse, the adapters are cumbersome and almost impossible to find if you want to keep your old systems. (Old as in 2 years?)
5. Samsung Galaxy S4 and 5 and other brands with the huge screens are more appealing..
The iPhone is just dated. You have to buy the iPhone AND the iPad for functions that Samsung’s Galaxy is dead center for and much less costly, less cumbersome and less annoying.
