Arbitron EVP Alton Adams Named to Radio Ink’s Most Influential List

Alton Adams, Arbitron Inc. (NYSE: ARB) Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, was recently named to Radio Ink’s “Most Influential African-Americans in Radio” list. Mr. Adams joined Arbitron in early 2009 and became an integral participant in the ongoing dialogues with clients and industry leaders at a time when radio needed the most support. Adams has helped create a more customer centric approach and has been responsible for broadening Arbitron’s platform as an advocate for the radio industry.

His tenure includes the Arbitron cross-platform advertising initiatives, the “We Hear You” and “Long Live Radio” campaigns. The “We Hear You” campaign uses employees and customers to highlight the Arbitron service enhancements and solutions upgrades that have been developed to create more user-friendly services for its clients. In the “Long Live Radio” campaign, Arbitron showcases real responses from diary respondents to highlight the important role of radio in everyday life.

The “Most Influential African Americans in Radio” list is an annual list compiled by Radio Ink that accepts nominations for outstand ing contributions to the promotion of the African-America radio industry.
