Skip Cheatham Resurfaces as PD in Dallas

Urban One Dallas R&B/Adult Contemporary Radio Station , Majic 94.5, tweaks their talent to reflect the immense growth in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Urban One (formerly Radio One) Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) radio Majic 94.5 (KZMJ-FM) is making new strides, both on and off the air, in order to stay connected with local listeners while also helping newcomers feel at home in the DFW area.

Skip Cheatham will join the Urban One Dallas team as the Program Director for Majic 94.5.  Raised in the Philadelphia area, Skip has always been interested in media and music and has earned many awards since coming to DFW.

Currently, Skip has his own show on Saturdays from 2 pm until 6 pm and is the Executive Producer and Program Director for The D.L. Hughley Show, heard in over 70 cities across the United States. Urban One’s Vice President of Programming, Colby Tyner, stated “Skip is a legend in the DFW, excited to have him back as a PD in a region he knows intimately.”

The Urban One energy is contagious when longtime family member, Veda (Loca) Emery, makes her welcome debut to middays from noon to 3 pm on Majic 94.5.  Currently the anchor for the House Party on Majic 94.5, which airs Saturday nights from 6 pm-midnight, Veda Loca spent 19 years across the hall at sister Radio Station , 97.9 The BeatUrban One DallasVP/General Manager, Tami Honesty said, “Veda is a big market voice and influencer that is woven into the fabric of Dallas/Fort Worth.”
