A 19-year-old teen in Detroit went on a shooting spree this past weekend killing 3 people and injuring an elderly man and his dog. Authorities think he would have continued on his killing spree if his aunt had not called the police.
The teen, Dontae Smith, has been charged with several felonies including assault, and murder. The four victims are Lori Brisco 43 who was a mom of 5 and was waiting for the bus when she was shot.
He stepped away after shooting her then came back and fired more shots. Chayne Lee, 28 was shot multiple times and Smith also turned around and came back, shooting him multiple more times.
There was a Jane Doe and finally a 76-year-old man named John Palik who amazingly was the only surviving victim. He also shot Palik’s dog who Palik was out walking at the time.
Smith’s aunt states her nephew is suffering from an undiagnosed mental illness. He stole the gun for a relative and was arrested without incident.
