OSCAR NOMINATION: Steve Harvey Breaks Down Crying

Question: Isn’t this the man that told Cathy Hughes and Radio One to “Kiss my Entire Ass? (laugh) Hey, that’s not “religious.”

As you know I do NOT believe in religion. I also don’t think black people should pressure others into being who THEY want them to be (way too late for that, laugh). Live your OWN life and let others live theirs.  A person’s relationship with God or whatever power they deem to be higher is THEIR business and no man on this earth can represent or speak for that or to it. How would you like it if someone told you how to raise your children? In addition people have used religion too often for the good AND the bad, to inspire AND conspire. Whatever the case may be, these people feel that steve harvey has changed lives…. perhaps, he has, I know he’s changed some peoples plans and dreams to work in radio (laugh). I was listening to his show recently for the first time in month’s I can’t take the constant ass kissing. “Steve you called that one,” Steve you are so right!” Steve that’s why we love you,” “Steve, we just got our paychecks, bend over so we can kiss your ass again please.” Why do these stars need to CONSTANTLY be told by their sidekicks how great they are? (Well, I like to be told that too, so I guess I am no different… Perhaps I should hire some sidekicks to kiss my ass).  Steve should set an ass-kissing quota on his show. Right now it’s too hight (laugh). Seriously, I think Steve is smart I think he’s a great politician and I think radio has been an invaluable tool for him to do what he could have never done in Hollywood, too bad hundreds of dreams of young radio hopefuls had to die (and continue to die) in the process (laugh). I’m sorry, I’m just not buying it. I think the church element has caught Steve off-guard but it’s another great marketing opportunity…hey what can I say. There something about it that just doesn’t seem real or at least comfortable to him… I can’t pinpoint it but who am I…? Ride the wave Steve, RIDE… Have you tried out-the-all you-can-eat pancakes at IHOP yet?

  1. Steve is crying because he’s not man enough to admit to himself or anyone else that it’s all a bunch of fabricated lies. How about asking his kids or ex-wives how great he is. They know better than any of us. oh yeah, amen.

  2. You don’t know what you are talking about. Let God do all of the judging not us!!!! Why can’t he be crying because he truly changed and realized just how how far he has come? Blacks man…. so negative. We never stick together. From the beginning of time, we have been like crabs in a barrel! Get a life!

  3. Tanya,

I say to this day not being able to stick together is part of why we were enslaved as long as we were. As a whole, we are the most devisive group of people I have seen. Rev. Sharpton described it perfectly on his radio show the other week, “Tribal Mentality.” Remember during the Bush administration, no matter how much evil or many stupid things he did, white people would not talk about him negatively. They support each other no matter what. I have seen white people who don’t get along, but will come together to bring a Black person down in a minute! What they don’t know is they really don’t have to because wedo it to ourselves.

I really hoped the Obama administration would give us a sense of pride as a whole. Instead, we’re his biggest critics. The only hope I see for us as a people who are intelligent enough to avoid self destruction is to try and work together and leave the crabs ina barrel with slave mentalities behind.
