Couple Carjacked by Armed Men
On Monday night, a couple experienced a terrifying carjacking at an East Memphis McDonald’s. The incident occurred around 11 PM while the couple was waiting in the drive-thru line.
Details of the Incident
According to police reports, four armed men approached the couple’s Infiniti vehicle. The driver was forcibly pulled from the car and punched in the face. The female passenger was also pulled out of the car before the assailants drove off with the vehicle.
Number of Suspects
The victims reported to the police that they believed a total of ten individuals were involved in the carjacking.
Vehicle Recovery
Approximately 12 hours after the incident, police found the stolen Infiniti 16 miles away in a Raleigh neighborhood. The vehicle was parked in front of a vacant house.
Witness Account
A local resident, who preferred to remain anonymous, witnessed the police recovering the vehicle. She expressed relief that the car was found but hoped that those responsible would be held accountable.
