Obama to Deliver Morehouse College Commencement Speech

Barack Obama

A White House official has absolutely confirmed that President Barack Obama will deliver the commencement address at all-male Morehouse College in Atlanta this spring. With the graduation slated for May 19, 2013, Obama will be following in the footsteps of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

This is not the first time the President will deliver a commencement speech. He has spoken at a handful of college and university commencement ceremonies, including at one of the military service academies. Last year, Obama spoke at the all-female Barnard College in New York.

Since the President will be speaking to a virtually all African-American graduation class of men, do you think his speech should be speak more to issues facing Black men in this country?
