Club Co-owner Shot and Killed Outside Atlanta Venue

A popular Atlanta co-owner of a nightclub called Republic Lounge was shot and killed outside of his own club in the early morning hours on Sat morning.

Police were called to the scene when they saw 50-year-old Michael Gidewon who was identified by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office as the man who was found dead outside of the Republic Lounge located at 990 Brady Avenue NW near 11th Street NW.

Gidewon was an entrepreneur in the nightlife scene in Atlanta for the past 35 years

Gidewon who was a celebrity in his own right has worked with artists such as T.I., Young Jeezy, Usher, Nelly, Jermaine Dupri, Lil Baby, and Ludacris. Gidewon leaves behind his wife, Selam, and four children.
