Police Release Video of Brick Attack on Elderly Man

Police released a video of an older man that was beaten in broad daylight. The footage showed the attack on the street in Harlem last week. The NYPD released the video on Monday evening.

The victim lives in a building on Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard near West 132nd Street. Police said, around 3 p.m., the victim confronted a woman he believed was stealing packages in the lobby.

After leaving, the woman returned with two other people, and one of them clobbered the elderly man with a brick and repeatedly whacked him in the middle of the street until he fell to the ground, video shows.

The attacker fled. The victim was taken to Harlem Hospital and was listed in stable condition. He suffered severe lacerations.

As of Tuesday morning, no arrests have been made.
