Felony Warrant Leads to Pursuit in Parking Lot (Video)

Probation Attempt Leads to EscapeA probation team attempted to contact a subject with a felony warrant. The individual, a known gang member with a history of violent and firearm offenses, fled the scene, jumping over fences to evade capture.Suspect Located at Local Grocery StoreOfficers received information that the suspect was seated in a car in the middle of a local grocery store parking lot. Multiple officers, including one blocking the entrance to Walmart, moved in to apprehend the individual.Apprehension and ArrestAs officers approached the vehicle, they commanded the suspect to show his hands and step out of the car.

The suspect, seated in the back with tinted windows, complied but appeared to be under the influence. He was instructed to walk backwards, kneel, and eventually stand up for the arrest.Outcome and CustodyThe suspect, who claimed he did not run from probation, was successfully taken into custody without incident. The well-coordinated perimeter prevented further attempts to flee.
