Dr. Jordan was a visionary leader, renowned for his exceptional contributions to the entertainment world and his unwavering commitment to uplifting gospel music on a global scale.
Dr. Jordan’s illustrious career spanned over several decades, during which he made a profound impact in various roles, including as Founder and CEO of Global Gospel Music, President of Gospel at Universal Royalty Exchange, and CEO of Seven49 Group. He was also the Founder of the Jordan Entertainment Group, where he provided strategic consulting, business plan development, and sales strategy services.
His expertise in the music industry was unmatched, having served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Verity Gospel Music Group, where he guided the label to unprecedented success. Dr. Jordan was instrumental in the careers of many gospel legends, including Kirk Franklin, Marvin Sapp, Donnie McClurkin, and John P. Kee. His contributions to the industry earned him recognition as one of the “Bosses of The Decade” by Jet Magazine, alongside iconic figures such as Berry Gordy, Cathy Hughes, and Quincy Jones.
Dr. Jordan’s influence extended beyond the music industry. He was a passionate entrepreneur, a best-selling international author, and a certified John Maxwell Coach, Teacher, and Speaker. His book, “Health is Wealth: How to Live Without Cancer, High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Obesity, and Heart Disease, Where You Feel Good All the Time and Have Plenty of Energy,” became a best-seller in multiple countries.
Among his many accolades, Dr. Jordan received the 2016 Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from President Barack Obama and was honored as “An American Icon” by Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee at the U.S. House of Representatives for his significant contributions to the music industry.
Dr. Jordan’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to become one of only two African Americans to own a car entrant in the prestigious Indianapolis “INDY 500” race, showcasing his versatility and ambition.
