Very tragic news has been confirmed by TMZ Sports, reporting on the untimely passing of Ray Lewis III, a former college football player and the son of the renowned Hall of Fame linebacker Ray Lewis. Lewis III was 28. The circumstances surrounding Lewis III’s death have not been disclosed.

While at Lake Mary Prep H.S. in Florida, Lewis III demonstrated exceptional talent as a star running back. His senior season saw him amass impressive statistics, with 1,898 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns, along with 676 receiving yards and four touchdowns. This performance led him to play at the collegiate level, representing the Miami Hurricanes, Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, and Virginia Union Panthers.

Diego Ryland, the Associate Head Coach at Virginia Union, expressed deep sadness and called the news “very unfortunate.” He spoke highly of Lewis III as an outstanding young man and teammate. The entire community at Virginia Union University is offering their prayers and support to the grieving family as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.

Sympathetic words were also shared by Lewis’ younger brother, Rahsaan, who bid a tearful farewell on Thursday afternoon. He expressed disbelief, stating that he couldn’t fathom typing such news. Rahsaan remembered his late brother as a true angel and acknowledged the pain he had silently endured. Although the loss is indescribable, Rahsaan vowed to keep his memory alive, promising to be the guardian his brother needs and make him proud.

Most recently, Lewis III played for the Wyoming Mustangs in the Champions Indoor Football League, showcasing his love for the game. Additionally, he was pursuing a career in the music industry, demonstrating his passion for artistic expression.
