Nicole Wyskoarko Named Co-Head of A&R at Interscope

Interscope Geffen A&M has announced the promotion of Nicole Wyskoarko to the position of Executive Vice President/Co-Head of A&R at the label. She joins Sam Riback in the role who has been Head of A&R at IGA since 2016 and oversees the pop/rock A&R team.

Wyskoarko will continue to oversee the Urban A&R team, working closely with the company’s various label partners and their extensive roster of artists. Wyskoarko and Riback will also collaborate on bringing the various A&R teams together to function as a cohesive unit. She will continue to report directly to Interscope Geffen A&M Chairman and CEO John Janick.

“Nicole has proven to be a leader within Interscope, a mentor to her team, a savvy dealmaker and an important voice within our industry,” said Janick. “This promotion reflects her success and amazing track record with our diverse roster of artists.”

Joie Manda, Executive Vice President of Interscope Geffen A&M commented: “Nicole’s incredible A&R acumen, her ability to empower her team and collaborate with our partners while keeping the big picture in focus has made her an invaluable member of the IGA team.”

A Los Angeles native and alumnus of University of Southern California, Wyskoarko attended Brooklyn Law School with the goal of breaking into the music industry. While still in law school, she landed an internship at Universal Music Group, working in the Business & Legal Affairs department of what was then the Island Def Jam Music Group.

After graduation, she accepted a full-time position in the department and worked at UMG for the next 11 years, rising to Senior Vice President of Business & Legal Affairs for the company’s East Coast labels (Island, Def Jam and Republic).

In 2016 Wyskoarko joined the law firm of Carroll, Guido & Groffman, LLP as a partner where she forged an enviable client list including Meek Mill, Mustard, Playboi Carti, H.E.R., Lil Mosey, and others.

Since joining IGA in 2018, as Executive Vice President of Urban Operations, Wyskoarko has presided over the Urban department during an extraordinarily fruitful period in the label’s history that has seen the phenomenal success of such artists as Juice WRLD, DaBaby, Lil Mosey, Ella Mai, Mustard, Summer Walker and 6lack, to name a few.

“Working in this role at Interscope has been a lifelong dream,” said Wyskoarko. “I am fortunate to have the support of executives like John and Joie Manda who have always backed my vision and supported our journey to create opportunities for our partners, our artists and our A&R team so that they can be successful at the very highest level. I’m looking forward to furthering our progress and working closely with Sam to create the best A&R team anywhere in the world.”
