The #New28, a power dinner and ceremony, presented and sponsored by�Walgreens�and�African Pride, recognized 28 influencers during�Black History Month�who are bold, brave, and brilliant in their approach at changing the world through their art.#New28 Honorees�in attendance included�Yvonne Orji (HBO’s “Insecure”), Lil’Mama, Grammy Award Winning Recording Artist Goo Goo Atkins, Logan Browning (VH1’s “Hit the Floor” and Netflix’s “Dear White People”), Kendrick Sampson (ABC’s “How To Get Away With Murder”), Steve Jones (Brand Maverick Entertainment), Michael Moss (BET Networks), Cee Barrett (BMI Records) and Angelica Nwandu (Founder, TheShadeRoom). Brand influencers�Karen Civil�and�Jasmine Brand�were also in attendance. Additional honorees included Aja Naomi King, Chance the Rapper, Kofi Siriboe, Mack Wilds, Zendaya, Tessa Thompson, Jidenna, Jussie Smollett, Teyana Taylor, DeVon Franklin, Keke Palmer, Ethiopia Habtemariam, Ericka Pittman, Kenny Hamilton, Jay Ellis, Claire Sulmers, Ericka Bennett, Tou Clark and Ashley Holland.
