The search for the newest “America’s Best Dance Crew” judge has come to a close. As Zap2it was first to report last week, the MTV series was on the hunt for a third panelist to replace hip-hop choreographer Shane Sparks, with candidates including recording artists Missy Elliott and Ne-Yo, and “Step Up 2: The Streets” director Jon Chu. Turns out that popular R&B star Omarion fit the bill.

Omarion will join “Dance Crew” for the show’s upcoming fifth season, serving as a judge alongside Lil Mama and JC Chasez, who have both been with “ABDC” since Season 1. Sparks was arrested December 18 on eight counts of child molestation.via
