Morgan State Freezes Tuition and Fees 2020-2021

Following a decision that was made prior to the conclusion of the 2020 spring semester, Morgan State University will not be increasing its tuition or fees for the 2020/2021 academic year. We are aware of the current landscape and understand that these are difficult times for a number of our students and their families. Due to the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent economic downturn, now is not the time to institute any changes that could potentially add to their financial burdens.

Historically, Morgan has been at the forefront of Maryland’s higher education institutions in terms of the percentage of University resources reallocated and financial assistance provided to students based on need. For the students that we serve, this is not only the right time for such action, it is simply the right thing to do. Morgan stands firmly committed to providing access to a quality education and will leverage the resources within our means to ensure that every student possible is positioned to achieve the completion of his/her degree.

David Wilson, President
Morgan State University
