Las Vegas Hotel Lockdown After Man Killed in Room

A Las Vegas hotel was locked down after a man was killed in one of the rooms on Thursday night. On the Las Vegas Strip at The Mirage Hotel, the victim was gunned down on the 8th floor inside a hotel room, police said.

According to the local station 8 News, a source with information close to the investigation said an additional two victims were believed to have sustained injuries in the shooting.

The gunman was not apprehended, and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department asked for the public’s help in avoiding that area as they continued their investigation.

Swarms of police at the hotel can be seen in videos posted on Twitter. As officers check each room to ensure the safety of guests, no one is being let in or out of the building, said guests at the hotel. An officer can be seen holding a protective shield in one of the videos.
