After her and her husband, Jay-Z took criticism for not using their power to stand up and influence the world, Beyoncé Knowles stood up for gay marriage in her own way. Last night on she posted a handwritten note on Instagram that read, “If you like it you should be able to put a ring on it,” followed by the hashtag “We will unite 4 marriage equality!” The Destiny’s Child stand out also posted a photo of the Human Rights Campaign’s red equal sign logo with a message the read, “It’s about time #equality #prop8 #marriageislove . . . show your support!” Keep it Beyoncé, stand up for whatever it is you believe in.
