Jonathan Majors appeared in court for the first time, accompanied by his girlfriend Meagan Good, as he faced trial for his assault case. The couple entered the Manhattan courtroom hand in hand, both sporting sunglasses to maintain their privacy. Following the hearing, they departed together.
During the court proceedings, the judge informed Jonathan that his trial date had been scheduled for August 3. The judge also emphasized the importance of his personal appearance, as failure to do so could result in an arrest warrant being issued against him. In March, the NYPD arrested Jonathan on charges of misdemeanor assault, aggravated harassment, attempted assault, and harassment.
These charges stemmed from an incident in which he allegedly slapped his ex-girlfriend while inside a taxi. Throughout the legal process, Jonathan has maintained his innocence. His defense team submitted security footage as evidence, arguing that it shows his ex-girlfriend visiting a nightclub after the alleged attack without any visible signs of injury.
In contrast, his ex-girlfriend claims that Jonathan broke her finger and caused a cut behind her ear during the altercation. The assault allegations have had a detrimental impact on Jonathan’s thriving Hollywood career, leading to the loss of endorsement deals. However, Meagan Good remains unfazed by the controversy, standing firmly by his side.
