High School Students Launch GoFundMe for 80-Year-Old’s Rent

High school students stepped up to the plate to help an 80 year old man who was forced to get a job as a jaitor at their school to pay an increase of $400 in his rent. The students set up a GoFundMe campain that has garnered a total of over $270,000. He works at Calisburgh High School in Texas and just started the position in January.

“It’s just so sad seeing an 80-year-old man having to do things an 80-year-old shouldn’t have to do,” senior Banner Tidwell told KXII. The initial goal was to make $10,000
