Dollars & Sense Music Conference Set For Vegas in October
The first ever Dollars & Sense Music Conference hits Las Vegas Oct. 23-25 at the fabulous Westgate Hotel. Designed by radio/music veteran Carol O (Ozemhoya), it’s intended to show people how to make money with their music in today’s technology-driven world.
Experts from the music industry as well as the business world will offer advice on branding, social media, distribution/sales, publishing, songwriting and more, and there will also be an all-female panel stacked with powerful women who will share their experiences when it comes to breaking the glass ceiling and protecting their professional images.
“The industry has changed so much, but the good thing about it is that it’s now actually more accessible to upcoming artists. With social media, the Internet and Internet radio, the opportunities are out there for global success and of course, financial gain,” says Carol O. “I want people to cometo this conference and learn how to become successful in the music biz.”
Panelists confirmed at this time include Janet Wade (head of music licensing at Turner Broadcasting); award-winning songwriter Crystal Pompey; singer/songwriter Calvin Richardson; branding expert AJ Jardien; digital distribution expert Allen Johnston; and more.
In addition to the panels, there will also be an artist development showcase with renowned artist developer Domonique Mitchell; and a Sunday Gospel event, led by renowned inspirational hip-hop personality CoCo Brother. Also, proceeds from the conference will go to Little Kids Rock.
