Sony Music Publishing Nashville Signs Carson Peters to Global Deal

Sony Music Publishing Nashville announced the signing of rising country star Carson Peters to a worldwide publishing agreement.

At 22 years old, Carson Peters has established himself as an emerging voice in the bluegrass and neo-traditional country space, expanding his reputation as a multi-faceted talent. Rooted in the bluegrass tradition of East Tennessee, Carson began playing the fiddle and singing at the age of three before stepping into the spotlight as the frontman of his band, Carson Peters and Iron Mountain. Since moving to Nashville at the age of 19 to focus on his songwriting career, he has earned cuts with artists including Braxton Keith, Cole Goodwin and Kenny Whitmire. As an artist, his 2025 single “The Mirror” has gained traction across the country community.

Carson has made numerous appearances on the Grand Ole Opry stage and on national television, including performing during Ricky Skaggs’ Country Music Hall of Fame induction at the 52nd CMA Awards and appearing as a featured contestant on NBC’s The Voice in 2021. He is currently on tour with his band while continuing to expand his songwriting career in Nashville.

Carson Peters said, “I want to thank God for this wonderful opportunity in my career, my wife and my entire family for supporting and encouraging me through the ups and downs of the music industry, as well as Emily Carignan, Aubrey Landon, and the whole team at Sony for believing in me and my songs. Long live country music!”

Sony Music Publishing Nashville Manager, Creative A&R, Emily Carignan said, “Carson Peters immediately impressed me with his undeniable talent and work ethic. Watching his early success unfold has been incredibly rewarding, and I know this is only the beginning for him!”

Sony Music Publishing Nashville Senior Director, Creative A&R, Aubrey Landon said, “Getting the chance to work with someone as promising as Carson doesn’t come around often. He’s so authentic and brings a fresh young perspective to the more classic country sound in his music. We are beyond thrilled to be in his corner!”
