Charlamagne Tha God has been selected for the Hollywood Walk of Fame Class of 2027. He is the only honoree named in the Radio category.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced the 2027 class, which includes 32 honorees across motion pictures, television, recording, live performance, sports entertainment and radio. Other members of the class include Idris Elba, Keke Palmer, Pedro Pascal, Kate Hudson, Lil Wayne, Karol G, Grandmaster Flash, Linkin Park, Jo Koy, Lisa Kudrow and David Alan Grier.

Charlamagne, whose legal name is Lenard McKelvey, was selected by the Hollywood Walk of Fame Selection Panel and approved by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
“This honor is bigger than me,” Charlamagne said. “Radio gave me an opportunity to change my life, and I’ve always tried to use every platform I’ve been blessed with to have honest conversations, challenge people to think differently and create opportunities for others. To be recognized alongside so many incredible artists and creators is truly humbling. I’m grateful to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey.”
Charlamagne is best known as a co-host of the nationally syndicated morning program The Breakfast Club. He is also the founder of the Black Effect Podcast Network and has worked as an author, television personality, producer and entrepreneur.
The recognition comes during a significant year for The Breakfast Club. On June 1, 2026, the program began streaming live on Netflix each weekday while continuing its radio broadcast. The agreement made it Netflix’s first daily live program.
During his career, Charlamagne has interviewed political leaders, entertainers, business executives and other public figures. His programs have frequently addressed entertainment, politics, mental health, entrepreneurship, race and social issues.
The Hollywood Chamber has not scheduled Charlamagne’s star ceremony. Members of the Class of 2027 have two years from their selection date to schedule their ceremonies, which are generally announced approximately 10 days before they take place.
