The best way to experience the “DJANGO UNCHAINED” ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK is on the special edition vinyl release available in stores April 16.
Coinciding with the Academy Award-winning film’s DVD and Blu-Ray release, the vinyl is perfect for record aficionados, Quentin Tarantino diehards, and all music lovers alike. The 2-LP package includes 2 180-gram red splattered records in a double gatefold package and full-size artwork.
Recently, legendary writer and director Tarantino’s latest epic was honored with two Academy Awards including “Best Original Screenplay” and “Best Supporting Actor” for Christoph Waltz . In addition, Samuel L. Jackson and Kerry Washington received NCAAP Image Awards for “Best Supporting Actor” and “Best Supporting Actress”, respectively.
To date, the soundtrack has sold over 300K copies worldwide. Meanwhile, the film from Tarantino won the Golden Globe Award “Best Original Screenplay” and “Best Original Screenplay” and “Best Supporting Actor” for Christoph Waltz at the BAFTA Awards. Entertainment Weekly featured it on the “Must List”, and Rolling Stone wrote, “‘DJANGO UNCHAINED’ marks the first time Tarantino has collaborated with artists to create original music for his film and soundtrack. Four original songs from the film were also short-listed for “Best Original Song” at the Academy Awards.
