Robbie McIntosh Named EVP, International at Capitol Music Group

Robbie McIntosh has been appointed Executive Vice President, International of Capitol Music Group, it was announced by Steve Barnett, Chairman and CEO of the company. In his new position, McIntosh serves as a senior member of Barnett’s executive team, working closely with CMG label heads, artists and their management to ensure an innovative and collaborative approach in creating and overseeing strategic marketing and promotion plans for CMG artists globally. McIntosh will be relocating to Hollywood, CA from London, and be based in the company’s iconic Capitol Tower.

As a highly-respected 20-year-plus industry executive, McIntosh is charged with creating and implementing global marketing campaigns, developing and maintaining strong relationships with Universal Music Group’s International territories to ensure awareness and understanding of CMG’s artist releases, and convey the company’s strategic mission to the world. He’ll work in concert with the company’s affiliates to create and implement launch and long-term plans with each territory, and seek out new opportunities within the global business to further enhance marketing and promotion efforts. McIntosh will also develop and maintain solid relationships with International media and other strategic partners, to the benefit of CMG artists.

According to Barnett, “I’ve had the great pleasure of working with Robbie for many years, and his well-rounded experience, acumen and demeanor make him the ideal person to head International for the Capitol Music Group and serve as a senior executive at the company.
