Robbie McIntosh has been appointed Executive Vice President, International of Capitol Music Group, it was announced by Steve Barnett, Chairman and CEO of the company. In his new position, McIntosh serves as a senior member of Barnett’s executive team, working closely with CMG label heads, artists and their management to ensure an innovative and collaborative approach in creating and overseeing strategic marketing and promotion plans for CMG artists globally. McIntosh will be relocating to Hollywood, CA from London, and be based in the company’s iconic Capitol Tower.

As a highly-respected 20-year-plus industry executive, McIntosh is charged with creating and implementing global marketing campaigns, developing and maintaining strong relationships with Universal Music Group’s International territories to ensure awareness and understanding of CMG’s artist releases, and convey the company’s strategic mission to the world. He’ll work in concert with the company’s affiliates to create and implement launch and long-term plans with each territory, and seek out new opportunities within the global business to further enhance marketing and promotion efforts. McIntosh will also develop and maintain solid relationships with International media and other strategic partners, to the benefit of CMG artists.

According to Barnett, “I’ve had the great pleasure of working with Robbie for many years, and his well-rounded experience, acumen and demeanor make him the ideal person to head International for the Capitol Music Group and serve as a senior executive at the company. All of us at Capitol congratulate Robbie, welcome him to Hollywood, and look forward to his leadership in bringing our artists and their music to the worldwide marketplace.”McIntosh commented, “It was impossible to resist the opportunity to be a part of Steve and Lucian’s vision to rebuild the Capitol Music Group into an innovative and aggressive entertainment company. Having worked with Steve previously, I know that his leadership, energy and passion is already driving the company forward, and I’m honoured to work with him again and be part of such an exciting period in the company’s illustrious history.

I am energised and can’t wait to move to Los Angeles and work closely with my CMG colleagues, our artists, their management and the UMG companies around the world to build and run the International side of the company’s business.”
