Radiofacts: CUMULUS MEDIA announces that it launched a new Adult Contemporary radio station today, LITE ROCK 100.7 “Shreveport’s New At Work Station”, on KRMD-AM and its FM translator, K264AS. LITE ROCK 100.7, moves the station from its previous Sports format, and will play at least 50 minutes of music every hour, featuring the biggest soft rock songs from the 70’s to today.

The new station kicked off its inaugural day with music from some of the station’s core artists, including Fleetwood Mac, Adele, Chicago, Whitney Houston, Ed Sheeran and more. LITE ROCK 100.7 will also air The John Tesh Radio Show Sunday through Friday nights from 7pm-midnight. The station also debuted its new website today at www.LITEROCK100.7.com.

Aaron Criswell, Vice President/Market Manager, Cumulus Shreveport, said: “We’re excited to launch a fresh at work listening station in the Shreveport metro. Since he has arrived, Operations Manager Jay Michaels has done a great job increasing audience levels with our Top 40 station KQHN-FM. With this format flip from Sports to the Lite Rock format, I am anticipating similar results. Cumulus Shreveport now has a radio station targeting the mature female listener and is the only cluster in the market exclusively targeting women and working families.”
Jay Michaels, Operations Manager, Cumulus Shreveport, and Program Director, KRMD-AM/FM and KQHN-FM, said: “The Shreveport market has been yearning for a true Adult Contemporary station for years. We’re excited to add LITE ROCK 100.7 to our powerful lineup of radio stations at Cumulus Shreveport. The addition of our new AC station is a huge benefit to listeners in the market, and it also allows us to be the only cluster in the market exclusively targeting women and working families. I can already hear offices across the city making the switch!”
