Paul Mason to Head Programming Operations for Titans Radio

CUMULUS MEDIA announces that Paul Mason has been appointed to lead Programming Operations for Titans Radio for Cumulus Nashville. Mason will continue to serve Cumulus Nashville in his existing role as Program Director for 104.5 The Zone/WGFX-FM, the unrivaled leader in Nashville and Middle Tennessee sports audio.

The appointment comes on the heels of CUMULUS MEDIA’s multi-year partnership extension with the Tennessee Titans, designating 104.5 The Zone/WGFX-FM as the official radio broadcasting home of the Tennessee Titans and Titans Radio.

Longtime Executive Producer, Rhett Bryan, remains in his role with Titans Radio. Mason will continue to report to Charlie Cook, Vice President of Programming Operations for Cumulus Nashville.

Mason joined 104.5 The Zone/WGFX-FM in April 2020 and has guided the station through the early days of COVID surges, roster changes, original podcast developments, online content partnerships, and the successful launch of The Zone TV. Under his leadership, Mason has successfully led the station through line-up changes including pairing Ramon Foster with Jason Martin in Morning Drive, adding popular podcast talent Buck Reising in Middays, bringing Mickey Ryan and Blaine Bishop to early Afternoons, and tapping newcomer Ron Slay to join Dawn Davenport and Brent Dougherty in Afternoon Drive.

Allison Warren, Vice President/Market Manager, Cumulus Nashville said: “From the beginning, we were seeking a creative visionary with a passion for sports entertainment to lead 104.5 The Zone, the dominant sports destination in Middle Tennessee. Clearly, Paul has stepped into that role and done exceptional work. Adding programming operations oversight to Titans Radio is a natural next step for Paul and we are confident he’ll continue to deliver the best live and local sports content to fans on both WGFX and Titans Radio.”

Charlie Cook, Vice President of Programming Operations, Cumulus Nashville, commented: “I believe what Allison and I appreciate about Paul is that he came into the station with a vision for our success and he followed the plan every week he has been here, and we are now seeing the plan come to fruition.”

Paul Mason, Programming Operations, Titans Radio, and 104.5 The Zone/WGFX-FM, remarked: “I am excited to work with this amazing group of broadcasters.

Mike Keith, Coach Dave McGinnis, Executive Producer Rhett Bryan, and the entire Titans Radio team are among the best in sports, and I’m humbled to be a part of it. I also want to thank Allison Warren and Charlie Cook for their confidence in me.”For more information or to stream 104.5 The Zone, visit: https://1045thezone.com.
