A loss struck the radio entertainment world as Ron Sexton, affectionately known to his fans as “Donnie Baker” from “The BOB & TOM Show,” passed away on Friday.

The announcement was made by his family on the Donnie Baker Facebook page, where they shared the sad news, stating, “It is with immense sadness that we let everyone know that Ron Sexton passed away yesterday. He was Donnie Baker to most of you, but Ron and Dad to us. Please respect our privacy at this time and pray for our family.”

The event took place during Sexton’s tour for his stand-up comedy show in Ohio, as confirmed in a statement attributed to Tom Griswold on “The BOB & TOM Show” Facebook page. The news has left fans, friends, and colleagues in shock and mourning the loss of a talented and beloved radio personality.

Earlier this year Sexton was involved in an altercation where he was shot at for allegeldy having an affair with a married woman by her husband.

Ron was known by millions of listeners of “The Bob & Tom Show” for the indelible comedic characters he played on-air – including Donnie Baker, Kenny Tarmac, and Floyd the Trucker, as well as his spot-on celebrity impersonations.
