JEFF KAPUGI NAMED PROGRAM DIRECTOR FOR CBS RADIO’S KEZK AND KYKY IN ST. LOUIS

headshot 11 22 2010 crop » 200Jeff Kapugi has been named Program Director for KEZK and KYKY, CBS RADIO’s Adult Contemporary and Hot Adult Contemporary stations in St. Louis , it was announced today by John Sheehan, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, CBS RADIO St. Louis. The appointment is effective immediately. KYKY “Y98” is the leading Hot AC station in St. Louis playing “More Music/Better Variety” at 98.1 FM and www.y98.com. KEZK plays continuous soft rock at 102.5FM and www.kezk.com, and is currently St. Louis ‘ official Christmas station. “Jeff is one of the great programmers in radio,” said Sheehan.   “He will be a great addition to our team in St. Louis and to CBS RADIO overall.   Our philosophies match up very well and I look forward to winning together.”

Kapugi joins CBS RADIO from Tribune Interactive where he was Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since September 2008. For close to three years prior to that, he was Regional Vice President of Programming for Clear Channel‘s 11 Washington , D.C. and Baltimore stations, and also held the lead programming responsibilities for WIHT.

In addition, he held Operations Manager and Program Director titles at Clear Channel stations in Tampa (WFLZ, WMTX, WBTP, WDUV) and St. Louis (KSLZ, KLOU).

Kapugi was graduated from Columbia College in Chicago with a degree in communications. He and his wife, Laurie, have two children.
