This festive event is a cherished tradition for the Boise community, drawing both locals and visitors eager to join in the festivities.

Participants and spectators enjoyed a vibrant atmosphere, with Sean Hancock commenting on the infectious energy of the crowd. “I love bringing in the new year with everybody in Boise. The energy’s insane,” he shared, encapsulating the excitement felt throughout the square.

To commemorate this milestone, a stunning red, white, and blue fireworks display lit up the sky for 20 minutes, paying tribute to the nation’s history and honoring its armed forces. Among the competitors was 15-year-old skier Theo Grant, who expressed his enthusiasm for both the event and the sport. “Had more than a blast. It was the greatest time ever. I love competitions. It gets you amped up and the crowd out here is amazing,” Grant stated, reflecting the excitement that filled the atmosphere.
