Looks like Tiny Vinyl is making a smart move—expanding into Europe with a seasoned pro at the helm.
Tiny Vinyl, the company known for its miniature collectible vinyl records, is set to launch its offerings in the European market after a successful debut in the United States last fall. To spearhead this expansion, Tiny Vinyl has appointed Ruben Planting, a veteran in the music industry with extensive experience in record labels and vinyl manufacturing.
Planting has held key positions at Deepgrooves Vinyl Pressing, Making Vinyl, and Music Declares Emergency Netherlands, among others. His reputation as a strategic consultant for music industry manufacturers highlights his expertise in international music distribution and revenue growth strategies.
In a joint statement, Tiny Vinyl founders Neil Kohler and Jesse Mann expressed their confidence in Planting’s ability to bridge US innovations with European retail markets. They emphasized that his leadership will be instrumental in forming dedicated partnerships with retailers and creating bespoke editions for artist fan clubs, gifting, and tours.
Tiny Vinyl records are unique four-inch vinyl discs designed for collectors. They are currently available in the US through partnerships with major retailers like Target as well as through direct-to-consumer channels from partnered artists. Each record can hold up to four minutes of music and is limited in release, making them special collectibles rather than traditional music products.
The roster of artists who have released music on Tiny Vinyl includes a diverse mix of talents spanning various genres, from Chappell Roan and Rihanna to the iconic Rolling Stones and Frank Sinatra. Chappell Roan’s Tiny Vinyl is expected to be launched in Europe by early 2026, though details about other upcoming releases remain under wraps.
Kohler and Mann identified a promising opportunity at the intersection of two trends: the resurgence of vinyl records and the rising popularity of miniature collectibles. They collaborated with Nashville Record Pressing, a notable vinyl manufacturer and part of GZ Media, the largest in the world, to develop their product.
The expansion comes at a time when vinyl sales are on the rise, with market research firm Luminate reporting that 47.9 million vinyl records were sold in the US in 2025. This marks an 8.6% increase year-over-year, continuing a 19-year growth streak in the vinyl market.
