The Making of XSCAPE
The album was executive produced by Epic Records Chairman and CEO, L.A. Reid. With access to four decades worth of Jackson’s archives granted by the Estate, Reid curated the final list of recordings. The production was retooled to ensure a fresh contemporary sound, while retaining Jackson’s essence and integrity. Timbaland was the lead producer, with other global hitmakers like Rodney Jerkins, Stargate, Jerome “Jroc” Harmon, and John McClain also on board.
