Black Radio Hall of Fame Inducts Shirley Ellis

While Shirley Ellis may be her government name, Fort Valley Wayne State knows her as the incomparable Mama Mia. At the University’s Television/Radio Station Manager, Ellis has been doing her thing in the business for 30 years and has inspired and trained many others to go into the business of radio. She has been compared to Oprah by those who have been mentored and guided by her and this honor is well deserved.

Ellis feels she still has a lot to learn in general and she say remaining humble has been her key to success. This year’s induction ceremony will be held via Zoom on Saturday, February 27th. Kudos to Mama Mia!
