Radio One Charlotte Welcomes “Fly Ty” Home

Radio One, Inc. announced today that Charlotte radio will never be the same as they welcome home, Charlotte’s own “Fly Ty,” hosting afternoons on My92.7 (WQNC), weekday afternoons from 2pm – 6pm starting Monday, March 8, 2010.

A veteran to radio, Fly Ty got his start in the early 90’s in Charlotte, NC as co-host/producer of the “Breakfast Brotha’s Morning Show,” on WPEG. After 10 years in Charlotte radio, he moved on to Dallas, Texas working at KRNB 105.7 and most recently was co-host/producer of The Playground Morning Show on K104.

Terri Thomas, My92.7 (WQNC) Program Director says, “It is a dream of most on-air personalities to be able to be on the air in their own hometown.
