On her live, daily call-in show King explores news and issues spanning politics, entertainment, and current events with a sharp eye and keen wit
Sirius xm Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) and Harpo Radio today announced that Gayle King’s live, daily morning call-in show has been expanded to two hours on Oprah Radio, Oprah Winfrey’s exclusive 24/7 Sirius xm channel. King, a self-proclaimed “news junkie,” tackles a blend of news, current events, entertainment and political headlines, human interest stories and social issues on the show every day. She also conducts in-depth interviews with celebrities, notable public figures, newsmakers, and people whose stories inspire her, and encourages her listeners to look at issues from all perspectives and to exchange their thoughts, opinions, and questions.
The Gayle King Show airs live Monday – Friday from 9:00 – 11:00 am ET on Oprah Radio, XM channel 156 and SIRIUS channel 195 as part of “The Best of XM” package. The show replays weekdays at 2:00 pm and 9:00 pm ET, and Saturdays from 6:00 am – 12:00 pm ET and 3:00 – 6:00 pm ET.
Highlights from The Gayle King Show include: the first interview with Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr. the morning after President Obama remarked that Cambridge, MA police acted “stupidly” in arresting him; live broadcasts from the 2009 Democratic National Convention— where King interviewed future First Lady Michelle Obama—and from Washington, DC the week of the historic Inauguration of our nation’s 44th President. Daley, and local high school students.

Booker; Jon Hamm; Mariah Carey; Hugh Jackman; Chris Rock; Forest Whitaker; Diane Keaton; Queen Latifah; and Venus Williams.
