Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Turn up for Maya Rudolph’s Broadway Run

Taylor Swift’s latest public appearance had immediate value for both Broadway and music publishing circles: the industry’s most closely watched songwriter spent part of the weekend at one of Broadway’s hottest tickets, and she did it just days after her historic Songwriters Hall of Fame induction. For publishers, songwriters, and rights holders, the message was simple — Swift remains a cultural force whose movements continue to command attention across music and live entertainment.

Swift and Kelce Catch ‘Oh, Mary!’ in Midtown

Taylor Swift was in midtown Manhattan on Saturday, June 13, to see Oh, Mary! at the Lyceum Theatre, with Travis Kelce by her side. The pair attended a matinee performance of the Broadway comedy starring Maya Rudolph, who is in a limited run that wraps July 5. Swift, Kelce, and Rudolph posed backstage for photos with the cast, including Cheyenne Jackson, Martin Landry, director Sam Pinkleton, Bianca Leigh, and Phillip James Brannon.

A clip taken at curtain call by a fellow audience member showed Swift a few rows back from the stage, leading a standing ovation for the performers.

Rudolph’s Run Continues as the Show Keeps Drawing Attention

Oh, Mary! is described in the production’s official synopsis as a Tony Award-winning comedic one-act play that examines the forgotten life and dreams of Mrs. Lincoln through the lens of playwright Cole Escola’s “idiot” character. Rudolph portrays Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln’s assassination, and the play centers on Mary Todd’s unhappiness with her marriage to the then-U.S. president.

The production has already earned major recognition. At the 2025 Tony Awards, Escola won best leading actor in a play for originating the role, and director Sam Pinkleton won best direction of a play.

Swift’s Hall of Fame Moment Still Echoes

Swift’s Broadway outing came shortly after her induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame on Thursday night, June 11, at the Marriott Marquis Hotel. Steven Spielberg introduced her for her speech, and Swift was named the youngest woman ever inducted into the SHOF.

During the ceremony, Sombr performed “Cardigan” and “Dear John” in tribute, while Swift and her parents softly sang along from their table.

What to Watch Next

Rudolph’s limited run as Mary Todd Lincoln ends July 5, and Megan Stalter is next in line to take over the role for a 10-week stint beginning July 6.
