Bts’ ‘come Over’ Tops Billboard’s New Music Poll

BTS turned a streaming debut into a decisive win, with “Come Over” topping Billboard’s new music poll and taking more than 86% of the vote. For publishers, songwriters, and rights holders, the result shows how a strategic release can convert fan attention into immediate chart-facing momentum.

BTS Takes the Poll in a Landslide

Billboard listeners voted in a poll published Friday, June 12, choosing “Come Over” as their favorite new music of the week. The track beat out new releases from Olivia Rodrigo, Cultura Profética, Charles Wesley Godwin, KATSEYE, Jack White, Bebe Rexha and more. By the poll’s closing time on Sunday, BTS ARMY had kept the group in the lead with more than 86% of the vote.

A Bonus Track Gets Its Streaming Moment

“Come Over” is an ARIRANG bonus track that had previously only been available on the physical deluxe vinyl edition of the project. The song made its streaming debut on Friday, timed with BTS’ annual fan celebration, Festa. A lyric video for the track was also uploaded to YouTube on release day.

The song lists SUGA, RM and j-hope among its co-writers and was co-produced by Cirkut with SUGA and Ammo.

Olivia Rodrigo Follows Behind

Olivia Rodrigo’s You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love album finished in second place. The album dropped on Friday, and Rodrigo also released a new music video for album track “Stupid Song.”

“Come Over” includes some lyrics in Korean and some in English, with the translated chorus finding the septet asking to reconnect with the song’s subject: “Yeah, I’m lost, can I come over?/ Yeah, I’m lost, can I come over?/ I just wanna say I’m sorry.”

What to Watch Next

The immediate item to watch is how BTS’ streaming release of “Come Over” performs after its poll win, especially with the song now available beyond the physical deluxe vinyl edition. The track’s release was tied to Festa, and Billboard noted the lyric video arrived on YouTube the same day.
