Live365, an Internet broadcasting platform, and Blubrry, a podcast hosting service, have announced they are partnering on a new service called Podcast2Radio (www.blubrry.fm), which helps podcasters discover new audiences via streaming to top digital distribution networks and devices. Podcasters currently struggle with distribution beyond iTunes. Listeners struggle with how to listen to podcasts on Android devices, leaving a major gap in audience potential.
These two industry leaders are coming together to solve these podcasting pain points. Podcast2Radio creates a curated lean back stream for podcasters which they control, pushing them to top streaming platforms such as ROKU, SONOS, AppleTV, and AHA Radio as well as other Android & iOS mobile, in-home and in-office digital devices. Podcasters can then engage a potential audience of over 65 million users. This distribution will continue to expand as Live365 announces new distribution partners.
The companies also report that daily audience analytics, mobile compatible HTML5 players, and revenue opportunities from top advertisers make this a logical next step for podcasters to take advantage of the multi-millions of users that engage streaming audio daily. To sign up for a Podcast2Radio stream Blubrry users will be directed to Blubrry.fm for activation.
