Kobalt Names Bob Bruderman Chief Digital Officer

Kobalt, the leading independent music publishing destination for songwriters and publi<a href="shers, announced today the elevation of Bob Bruderman to the newly created position of Chief Digital Officer.

In his new role, Bruderman will lead the overall global digital strategy for Kobalt, including commercial partnerships with major companies such as Amazon, Apple, Meta, Pandora, Snap, Soundcloud, Spotify, TikTok, and YouTube. He will work with a broad range of emerging digital partners, driving new monetization opportunities across the business. Bruderman is also actively involved with various industry groups to ensure the intellectual property interests of songwriters and artists are protected worldwide.

Laurent Hubert, CEO of Kobalt Music Group, stated:

Bruderman joined Kobalt in 2013 and most recently served as Executive Vice President, Global Digital Business. During his tenure, he oversaw digital business development and licensing for the recorded music services company AWAL, which was acquired by Sony Music Entertainment in 2021. Before joining Kobalt, Bruderman held various positions at Sony Music Entertainment, which he joined in 2002. He serves on the board of directors at ASCAP, the Mechanical Licensing Collective (The MLC), and the Digital Data Exchange (DDEX).
