Atlanta Police Release New Image and Name of Active Shooter

Atlanta Police have released the name and a new clear image of the active shooter in Atlanta who is still at large. His name is Deion Patterson and this is his image. Currently, 1 person has died and 3 others are injured in the random shooting that took place in Midtown Atlanta today in the 1100 block of West Peachtree Street.

Public School Lockdown

Patterson who randomly opened fire in the Midtown area of Atlanta near W. Peachtree St. is still at large authorities have decided to put all public schools on lockdown as they investigate the situation. 

The effect is an order for Midtown Atlanta as one is now dead and four injured. The schools that will be on lockdown and the Midtown and Washington clusters are king metal, Staunton, Elementary, Wesley international charter, and Dunbar Elementary students will not be dismissed until further notice. 

Of course we’ll call cause major traffic and bus delays. It is unclear which other schools are being placed on lockdown.

Atlanta police released surveillance video of the suspect wearing a gray or black hoodie and carrying a bag. He also had a handgun as he stood inside a set of glass doors. The suspect is still at large and law enforcement is urging the public not to approach him because he is armed and dangerous.  source
