ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – An attack at The Innovative Concept Academy school in North St. Louis was so savage that the 42- year-old teacher, a black male, had a stroke as a result and may have lost his vision. 15-year-old Kevin Straub beat up his teacher in the classroom and has been charged as an adult and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. A surveillance camera caught the attack. Prosecutor Jeffrey Ernst said, “It absolutely was a brutal crime and it happened in a school which is so troubling about the whole thing.” St Louis is very close to Ferguson where massive marches and protests were held when Darren Wilson, a white man, shot and killed Mike Brown a black teenager.
