You know we couldn’t leave 2020 without some more craziness. Unfortunately, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s office of Arizona confirmed last week that former Chicago Bears All-Pro cornerback Michael Richardson is a suspect in the fatal shooting of 47-year-old Ronald Like. The shooting occurred on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 in Phoenix, AZ.
Richardson was arrested the following day and charged with murder, misconduct involving weapons and a felony warrant. He was booked into a Maricopa County jail where he is reportedly being held without bound. He is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 7.
This story personally hit home for me because I’m a huge Bears fan and I can remember his verse in the Super Bowl shuffle. This is very unfortunate and sad for all parties involved.
