Royalty Exchange announced today the launch of operations in Nashville, Tenn., giving the company an important presence in the heart of the music industry. The Music City office, led by industry veteran Preston Sullivan, is located in the “The Gulch,” a thriving business and entertainment district in downtown Nashville. Joining offices in Raleigh, N.C., Los Angeles and New York, the new location continues the ongoing national expansion of Royalty Exchange, the first online marketplace for buying and selling royalties from entertainment and other industries.

Sullivan, who joins Royalty Exchange as Vice President of East Coast Sales and Acquisitions, has deep roots in Nashville cultivated over 35 years in the music, entertainment and technology industries. With a background as a successful musician and producer, Sullivan started and ran entrepreneurial ventures from Nashville to L.A., including two music publishing companies. He also launched college rock label Carlyle Records in Nashville and Amsterdam, and was in-house producer and studio manager for Sixteenth Avenue Sound whose world-renowned clients recorded over 80 platinum and gold records.”I am very excited to be a part of the visionary team at Royalty Exchange,” said Sullivan. “This opportunity will allow me to provide a very safe, transparent new funding source to our creative community as well as all royalty stream holders across a wide spectrum of sources, helping them strengthen their current businesses, launch new ventures or simply take care of their families.”In 1997, Sullivan jumped into the technology sector and co-founded the online startup Tappedinto.com, which became Streamlogics, a pioneer in webcasting and streaming video.

Sullivan led global business development for the company which resulted in a profitable sale in 2009 to Thomson Reuters. He was most recently Senior Director at Nashville-based Global Eyes Entertainment, working alongside his wife, Global Eyes founder Ramona E. Simmons.”We are very lucky to add Preston Sullivan to the Royalty Exchange team,” said Sean Peace, Royalty Exchange founder and CEO. “His remarkable range of experience will be invaluable to our company, our clients, and our future development.”Sullivan graduated from Vanderbilt University where he and his brother both played football and were members of the 1974 Peach Bowl team.
