Anytime black people are nominated for an Oscar is noteworthy but a 9-year-old black girl is HEADLINE NEWS. She is the youngest nominee to date for best actress for the film Beasts of the Southern Wild and from the people that I have talked to who have seen the movie they all say she is absolutely phenominal and beyond a seasoned pro in the role, her first acting gig to date.
